Senior Accounting Associate
Reports to: Director, Finance Operations
The
Senior Accounting Associate is an integral part of a dedicated, professional Finance team of 13. The primary role of the Senior Accounting Associate is to support the Operating fund, with experience in general accounting in A/P, A/R and payroll.
Responsibilities:• Accounts Payable – reviews submitted invoice packages for appropriate approvals, balanced budgets, and necessary support, assigns GL coding, processes payments, maintains aged files.
• Accounts Receivable – invoicing and processes cash receipts.
• General Ledger reporting and journal entries.
• Process bank deposits and ACH/Wire transfers.
• Process biweekly payroll for 2 companies and ensure accuracy of data from Human Resources.
• Positive Pay upload for multiple companies
• Manage company credit card – GL coding, set credit limits, order cards, fraud reporting.
• Serve as vendor liaison for Operating fund.
• Process 1099s annually.
• Process Independent contractor payments, including contract review.
• Provide backup support for CRM data entry.
• Support to several senior accountants and Finance management.
Required skills:• 5 – 7 years experience in accounting – A/P, A/R, General Ledger, Journal Entries
• Proficient in MS Office including Word and Excel.
• Excellent time management and strong analytical skills
• Detailed oriented, good communicator both written and verbally.
• Must be a collaborative team player and quick learner.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and maintain organization.
